    Are you kidding? She can have her cake & eat it too(G). One of life's sheer delights - children, daughters in law, parents, siblings, sisters in law, friends and grandchildren. Food comes in a close second!

    Yesterday I had my brain stretched by Leonard Pitts, a columnist whose work I try not to miss, who spoke for several hours.

    Shed a tear when my niece called from NYC to tell us about her day. She & her boyfriend enjoy taking the Staten Island Ferry on weekends for a round trip excursion. On the way back, as they took in the NYC skyline, the lad noted the trip this time would be different. She asked why & he replied they'd left as two people, but were returning as one - if she'd marry him! She said yes - ain't life grand?

    A birthday toast to you all! Sammy Hagar's song is stuck in my head(G). 55? Feels like I'm in reverse going 55 on the highway.
