    You missed me and Jaye,

Although her mom's health makes her about half certain she's going.

The reason you missed me is because I'm so shy, soft-spoken and shorter than everyone else.

    Two from Ohio

John, put me down for two, Carol and I will be coming in for this event. Also, the HOJO does not have the best of ratings on "TripAdvisor", are there any other hotels in close proximity? Something with overnight parking perhaps?

    Glad you can make it.

Unfortunately, hotels in NYC are often ridiculously expensive compared to the rest of the country.
The area where dinner will be is called the East Village and more specifically, the restaurant is called Via Delle Zoccolette on Avenue A at the corner of East 6th St.

If I were you, I'd continue using Trip Advisor as your guide to other hotel options.

Usually, better deals are found in midtown.

I'm hoping he'll soak up as much as he can! (and i don't mean alcohol;))
  • I'm glad you're coming, Bob

    pencil me in.

Right now I most likely can go.

I may go down with Supply house Rick, Mark Hunt and Darrin Cook.

When do you need a definite yes or no.

    I think...

St. Pat's has Critical Mass at midnight that Friday.

We'll all pile on the 4, 5, or # 6 train from the East Village and head up to St. Pats.

Dan will hear confessions en route.

By 1 a.m., we'll all be in a "state of grace."

    Sure you do not mean

"state of dis-grace"? I am a cheap date. But I did not give up The Wall for lent at least.

I think the Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Pasta will be a service to remember. Monsignor JohnNY and Bishop Holohan conducting.

    Location, location, location

Here's where we'll be. I had lunch there with Aunt Lucy on Saturday. Delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. And if ask someone the time, the answer will always be, "Why it's 1968."

    Been there!

I did not know the name of it, but stopped in there years ago with Jaye and friends, might have even been Noel & Lisa.

Anyhow, we went in for a drink, saw the menu, thought it might be a good come-back place, promptly never went back and never even thought about it, until THAT picture.

If it's the same people, it will be a blast there. Nice low-key joint where the food looked to be above average, at very reasonabe prices if memory serves.

The brews were cold and atmosphere nice. We walked in around 3:30 and were treated like company.

Beers however, are 20 buck a pop.

    APRIL FOOL A DAY LATE.

Kidding aside; I did want to go back; now we can. Jaye will most definitely be in tow.

    Fish Bar

If you're in the neighborhood early, wander over a couple of blocks to the Fish Bar on East 5th to see the working Gold mattress radiator. It's in the photo on the link.
