forced air vents

the warmest room - by design. We typically put 20% more heat there for rather obvious reasons. Were you to eliminate a hot air register from the bath, it would be a rather glaring "issue" later on. They make a neat electric radiant system for under tile layout that might save the day.

You did mean you have a true hot-air furnace, right? Not the misnomer used for a boiler, right? If you have what is properly known as a boiler, you have a bunch of easy options. If it is in fact F/H/A, think about eliminating the vent grill, capping off the sheet metal down below and installing electric radiant before tiling.

You won't regret it.

    vent placement

Doing some remodeling in my ensuit, it is pretty small and it is above my furnace room so the floor is always warm. I already have a vent in the room but am thinking of eliminating it when I remove the flooring to do my plumbing. I want to know if a bathroom is supposed to have a heat source/vent? Info would be greatly appreciated.
