For direct or reverse return systems, zv's are a fine choice. cheaper per zone as well, but I use all circs on p/s systems. You will need a bypass or balancing valve with zv's.

    Zonevalves

Electric zone valves were developed years ago and they are now the most widely used device for zoning a hydronic heating system. A zone valve eliminates the need for a Flow-Check valve and relays, and simplifies the piping required for a hydronic heating system. Because zone valves are compact they permit great flexibility of location in any heating system. In most zoned heating systems, especially when there are more than 2 zones, zone valves have a definite cost advantage over using a hydronic/water circulator in each zone. A single hydronic/water circulator in the system can supply many zone valves.

Save energy — cut fuel costs! Electric Hydronic zone valves, each with its own thermostat, permit accurate temperature control of individual rooms or groups of rooms in residences or commercial buildings which are heated or cooled hydronically. Put heat where you want it, when you want it.

With either an Electric ESP, 560 series or 570 series Taco Zone Valve or Honeywell Zone Valve you are getting quality that you can trust. If you have any questions just click on the images or links above to see more information on a particular electric zone valve. If you require other manufactures please click on the big question mark at the bottom of this page and let us know your requirements.
