Prestige in for a Pinnicle
Wanted your opinion about the Triangle Tube Prestige boiler. I have a Pinnicle 199 in a very nice home, today we installed our 5th draft inducer. I have had the supplier out twice, "everything looks good". The home owner is at the end of his rope, he wants something different, the supplier of the Pinnicle is now carrying the Triangle. It looks good, just wondered what anyone's experience has been. Thanks,

Isn't the Pinocle
a branded Munchkin, hence the issues surrounding fans?0 -
Yes
I just wanted to second that. I love the support team at Munchkin, but it's a shame I've had to call so much that I've gotten to know them so well. I have 6 Prestiges out here and don't know anyone in tech support very well at Triangle tube. I wish Munchkin/Pinnacle would get to the bottom of the inducer fan problem, because they are really nice folks and I do wish them well. WW

Wayne and Brad...
That fan motor is made by EBM in Europe, and is use in many thousands of boilers worldwide.
It has been adapted to 2 of the worlds leading gas valve manufacturers (Dungs and Honeywell) with very few problems. I personally, can't see where they are a problem.
HTP has taken the high ground and replaced the few I had problems with. I'm sure that they examined and tracked problems with them to narrow down the field to certain units.More importantly, they stand behind them.
I've seen this motor/fan combination used on some stuff that won't be used here in the states....for years to come. (oil fired units) using the same motor and at last check, there weren't a whole lot of complaints.
Maybe it's something else creating the "problems"? I'm leaning toward bad or non-exsiting GROUNDING, and variations in the power being supplied to them.
Just playing devils advocate here. Chris0 -
