Venting

Exactly how however, would require seeing the layout, taking some measurements, figuring an alternate pathway for the new piping, assuring adequate flow, selecting a diameter to handle the condensate and a whole bunch of similar stuff some of could figure out in 10 minutes.
Maintaing pitch is key. However, 2-pipers frequently have three pipes. The main (supply); the vent line (dry) and the condensate return (wet). If this is a modified alteration of a three piper, the true vent piping must be determined with a tad more skill than what may be apparent.
Not expensive, but tricky - if you get my drift.

2 Pipe Venting
I have a problem venting part of the supply that runs to the back of the house. The problem I believe is the result of 20 feet of the supply and dry return piping that runs in a channel under the floor of the back sun porch where the corner of the room (the 90 degree) has settled about 3" over the years. So far I have flushed the return and sent an eel through to make sure it is not blocked with sediment. I have also raised the rads in the sun room as much as possible to try achieve the original pitch but still I do not get steam through until I open the system (removing a thermostatic trap cap)on the end rad. I have replaced the traps throughout the house however I cannot get pressure at the boiler while this back section stays cool. The system is a Dunham 2 pipe installed in 1925 with wet returns at the end of the supply lines and dry returns for the main return. Also the vent is off the air eliminater and seems to be venting well. Just out of curiosity I plugged the vent with my hand during a boiler cycle and was able to watch the guage show incresing pressure. My question is given that the pipes are not accessable and I really don't want to tear up the old tile work, can a alternative venting arrangement be made to accommodate my situation.0
