constant circulation

Hi Wallies, Just been doing some thinking about problems that could happen while a family goes away for an extended period in the winter. If the heating system was set too low and wasn't called on to circulate the water in a forced hot water system a problem area such as a pipe running along the outside perimeter could freeze. If the circulator was wired and switched for vacation periods the thermostat could be lowered safely as water would always be moving and so would'nt freeze. The only problem I could foresee is if the circulator failed. The wiring would be very simple , a switch wired between the hot side and C1.

failure
well, your car could fail in the driveway and then you are stuck at home, no vacation!!!
so, everything has the potential to fail and wreck everything else!
its a good idea, see nothing wrong with it, just have to know how low can you go?
why not dilute anti-freeze?0
