G-115 rough start up

Try up sizing the nozzle plate from the .65 to the .75. I have found this to solve any rough ignition problems on teh carlin's, however do not change the nozzle.

    G-115 rough start up

I have a Buderus G-115-28 W/Carlin burner,The unit starts on the first cycle real rough, then on the second cycle 10-15 seconds later the unit runs fine? anyone have any ideas? or have run into this situation before, I'm thinking it may be the 60200- 02 carlin control but.....

What do you mean by cycle?

Do you mean that the unit runs rough for 10-15 seconds then clears up?

or does the first cycle mean that the unit will run rough for 10-15 minutes untill it shuts off on high limit?

That unit has a pre purge and probably a delay valve, so the first 10-15 seconds any time the burner starts all you should hear is the burner fan moving air. Once the delay valve opens and you have ignition, the combustion noise drowns out the fan noise and it will sound different.

If it runs rough for 10 minutes or so, Id call a pro to check it out.

Travis if this is doing what I think

it is its trying to start fires roughly then shuts down, then tries again but runs smoothly, then it is probably a draft issue and needs someone with the correct gauges to diagnose and set up correctly.

    buderus

there was a problem with that control when it 1st came out but i doubt there are any left out there=the control should say rev.b if it is rev.a control it could be the problem-also carlin has recommended changing the nozzle to a 70 degree a or w in certain applications with the problem you described but i would suggest contacting carlin or buderus=any combustion testing done -o2/c02/co/ex-air etc
