Thank you all for your kind words. Mom was 91 and lived a grand life. She left us peacefully and with great dignity yesterday while we were looking at pictures of her grandchildren. Oddly enough, her last living brother, a WWII/D-day vet -- and a great plumbing and heating pro in his own right -- also passed away yesterday. There will be many glasses raised this weekend in Central MA for two pretty special people.
Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. Dan always reminds us to "hug your kids," but do me a favor this weekend -- hug your parents, too.

At age 91, that is a good long life but one always wonders why a few more good years cannot be carved out and put aside. Hubris to ask I suppose.
She must have lived a life worth remembering, held high in many hearts. I will be thinking of you all as you raise your glasses in praise of her and her brother, members of the Greatest Generation.
