Considering the cost of the antifreeze and the lifetime expenses to maintain it properly (rarely done, and with the same end results), I always tell my customers that money would be better spent on a back up generator!!

Justification for Anti-Freeze?
A customer came to me today with the news that one of his newly installed Mod-Cons had been exposed to a no electricity situation in sub-freezing temps. Being vented through the sidewall of the structure with 3 inch PVC, cold air spilled into the cabinet of the boiler, freezing the water in the heat exchanger and splitting it.0 -
Wow!
I wonder if his homeowners policy would cover it, and the rest of his water pipes seeing as its hard to get the heat going with a split boiler.
Thats just Bollocks!
