Radiant web site???

To be fair, that is a link to an outside source...the "Radiant Design Institute", which, from what I can tell, must have Nurse Ratched as an instructor.
Maybe when he typed adsorbent, he was getting at this definition of absorb: "b : to transform (radiant) energy into a different form especially with a resulting rise in temperature <the earth absorbs the sun's rays>" I'm sure that's it. ;-)

Has anyone ran into this outfit ??
i had a call first thing this morning, the call was smoking out of burnner. it was a bock 70 gall water heater and a powerventer, the bock made the water for the house and also suplyed the radiant heat, the thing wont shut off, the company sells directly to the HO, she called them cause it was not keeping up so they told her to pust up the temp on the h2o heater to 150°. the thing still dont shut off, and the chamber gets so hot that it expands the oil in the draw assembly and it sprays into the chamber and smolders, even after the post purge shuts down ( 2 min ) so i ajusted the post to 4 min . she uses about 275 month, even this winter.
the copany is Hannel radiant

Never heard of them
But most of us have heard of the other companies like them that promise the world and give you the contents of a septic tank.
If people would listen to what we, the real pros, have to say, most of them would understand what we are doing and why.
To me, this is a classic example of the internet radiant companies 'customer service.'0 -
A harbinger of the quality a HO can expect!
"Do not let the adsorbent price some plumbers are charging for radiant heat discourage you.
You can have a quality radiant system for an affordable cost."
We plumbers are very absorbent! Says so right there on the beginning of 100 pages of instructions.

Funny that \"Adsorbent\" or \"Absorbent\"
are the opposite of "soak"... I wonder if that is what they meant?0 -
Spelling and meaning?
Is another troll that doesn't have the nerve to put an email address in the post...
Surprised?

gotta pay the toll to the troll!
No doubt the poster was being cautious as many of the Internet gurus of radiant systems tend to sue at the drop of a hat.
We occasionally see some of the radiant designs that were foisted on unsuspecting HO's via the Internet. Any company that begins a sales pitch by slamming pros would be highly suspect if I were shopping the net. But, they're saying what HO's want to hear and believe.
The garbage we've seen makes for an interesting visit, but I haven't seen one yet that I'm willing to touch. Once touched - it's your problem - not the company that sold the "system".
And no, I'm not familiar with the group attached to the link posted and I've not seen their systems. However, after reading the Troll's post, it'd be a cold day in - hey, come to think of it, we've already seen that weather this week(G). Anyway, let the buyer beware no matter where they shop on the net.
Ran into a really lousy tankless water heater a few weeks ago that was supposedly purchased on EBAY. Worth more as scrap & that's what it became once we laid eyes on it. The HO's were delighted to see it go.
Did they offer free AC too Jeff?0
