Hot water zones banging

Yeah, generally its a pipe rubbing against wood.

It can be caused simply by the house settling.

    Hot water zones banging

I need help to confirm my suspicions, this lady is living in misery, there is three zones and when they get up to about 160*f -170*F two of the zones bang. I know it is related to flow/temperature because when I close the valves the banging stops.I think this might be thermal expansion and the pipes are rubbing against something. any other suggestion I would appreciate because the basement ceiling is finished so want to make sure before cutting out the sheetrock. Thanks in advance.
