How come cathodic protection is placed in hot water heaters, ships at sea, pipelines in the ground, but not cast iron steam boilers ? You blow down and replace fresh water every week during heating saeson. Why not sacrifice anodes instead of boring holes near the water line? Just curious, please enlighten me.
