What's left to check?
Hi all:
We're at our wits end here. Hot water gas boiler. No heat. Aquastat and Pump comes on when thermostat calls for heat. Burners fire up. Reaches high temp limit shortly after and then the Aquastat shuts down the burners. But the heat has not made it out of the basement up to the 2nd floor. The near boiler piping on the supply side gets hot but the heat doesn't seem to make it upstairs to the 3rd floor. Aquastat appears to work as it supposed to..on/off at high/low limit. So we changed the pump and bleed the radiators.
Keep bleeding the radiators but still no heat. Are we missing something?0 -
sounds like
a valve is off somewhere.0 -
You might have a frozen heat pipe.0 -
as you can see
there are several possibilities. Did you do the work yourself? or a pro..it might be time to call in the pro if you haven't0 -
Thanks for helping. No doubt you're right you're right about a pro. Only pro that was recommended was booked up - couldn't come out for a week. Miserable with no heat so neighbour who's pretty handy tried to help us out with the pump. Radiator bleed seemed easy enough at the time so we did that ourselves.0
