    pressuretrol settings

The presstrol on my system says cut-in equals cut out plus differential.
The differential is set at 1lb.
The cut out is set at 2 lbs.
How would I go about lowering the pressure to see if the system would run at a lower setting .
The way it is now seems to be at 3 lbs?

The way you listed things, I'm a little confused. It should be cut out minus differential. I'd drop the cut out by 1/2 lb and see what happens. Can you give us some pictures of the control?

When the system is running, it shuts off at 3 psi.
What I believe their referring to on the control, as
"cut in", is the point at which the pressuretrol would cut off the boiler. Because they list (cut in), as cut out plus differential.

I agree it should have been worded differently.
Right now the boiler shuts off at 3 psi. What I believe their referring to as cut-in point, is thepoint at which the pressure trol would shut off the boiler. Now the cut-out is a two, with the differential at 1.
The boiler shuts off at three.
