    At a 1 GPM flow

Siggy's HDS program shows copper M at about 4100 btu/ 100 foot run. Probably a tad less for pex?

Time to insulate and seal it! That seems like way too cold for a crawl space and asking for trouble.

Actually I am interested in the answer as well.

Isn't what makes copper give of so many btu's it's "K factor"?

I would imagine the K factor, or ability to transfer heat, is much less with pex.

On two runs, one copper, one pex, my gut tells me the pex would not lose as many btu's.

Anybody have any facts on the matter?
