is it possible to overpitch a radiator

I've pitched all the radiators in my house at 1 inch rise per 10 feet length.
As far as I know too much pitch will cause problems with the condensate flowing too fast through the supply valve and possibly bringing sediment with it. This could cause steam to move poorly through the valve.

overpitch a radiator
In single pipe steam system, is it possible to overpitch a radiator and cause it not to heat all the way across?0 -
The notion of
"pitch being essential is over-blown IMO. Dead level rads have been the norm for 100+ years without problems.
There will always be minimal "puddles" in a rads by virtue of the way their made. The old stack of nickels trick creates an unstable base and creates a tipping danger otherwise unwanted.
Iv'e seen more rads ripped off the wall from un-needed pitching tha cired hammer from alleged puddles.0
