I installed mostly weil mclain cibb.. And I do run into problems like yours. I became good cutting the metal down to size on my homemade jig just made for that purpose.
On valve or bleeder side I try to have full acess door while other end cut for custom fit. Reason for using weil mclain, easy ascess to bleeder vent... While burhamn do have nice round front and alittle more heat output but a b**** to vent under the cover...

    New Cast Iron Baseboard

    I have a renovation going on and I am having cast iron baseboard installed. (The product is Burnham Baseray 10" baseboard.) The plumber and supplier are having a problem getting the end caps correct. They shipped the standard 5-1/2" with the service doors but they won't fit on a 24" piece in some tight spaces like under my stairway or in a tight hallway. The supplier shipped a 1" end cap but that won't allow for the nipple to be covered. We are waiting for some adjustable 9" pieces to be shipped but I was wondering if anyone has had this problem before and might have a suggestion for a fix.
