Does the pressure in steam lines

affect how steam traps operate? My problem is the one of the convector radiators in my apartment starts banging, I guess water hammer, every time the building engineer turns up the steam pressure in the building.

or are you thinking that the super manually controls the heat day/night/weekend/holiday 24/hrs???? what type of controls do you have ???--what kind of system--district steam --or a boiler/s ??? are you sure your the building Owner???0
