Are Radiator Vent Sizes Standardized?
Do steam air vents from different manufacturers with the same size designation vent at the same rate?
i.e. Sizes 4, 5, 6, C, D
- Also, which of the above sizes would a Hoffman 40 be equivilent to?
- How about a 70A while were at it?
- The Hoffman 1A adjustable vent is listed as being adjustable from sizes 1 to 6. Are the 4, 5, and 6 settings of the 1A comparable in air flow to the 4,5, and 6 of other manufacturers? If so, how come some other manufacturers don't make sizes 1, 2, and 3? (I haven't seen them at least.)0 -
May I ask a question here,? Are some brands considered better than others? Hoffman, Vent-rites, Grotons etc.?0 -
Quality...
Gortons and Hoffmans are the best and will last for a long time. Heat-timers are excellent, but don't last a well.
Anything Chinese is garbage and doesn't work.
