This last one was a hot water re-pipe and replacement in Arlington. We took the old Sears Homart (looks like an American Standard block?) out and replaced with a Prestige and a Smart 60. -DF

Steam job
Here is what we have been working on recently. The first one is a steam boiler replacement on a 2-pipe system in Arlington. We installed a new 6 section Peerless and replaced the condensate pump with a boiler feed pump. -DF

Steamer
The second is a vapor system change-out in Cleveland Park. The Bryant we took out was mid '60's vintage. This one is humming along at about 8 oz. on the Vapor-Stat. -DF

Dan i have to say i don't know anything about steam but you did one hell of a nice job good work man.
what kind of pipe dope do you use. and do you use tape also0 -
Don't think I've
ever seen a boiler that small w/ a 150E hanging off it. I assume the guy who did the condensate pump trashed the old dump trap. If that were in D. C., Inspector Jones would want a 3rd Class License hanging over the boiler feed tank.

Wow Dan,
That flue pipe in the Myers 1 pic looks a little small!
Nice work. I'm glad to see that the folks in the D.C. area who take our money are using it wisely....in THEIR homes anyway.

Cactus Cantina
Hi Ron,
My guess was the same as yours - the original trap was junked and replaced with a condensate pump. I prefer boiler feed pumps.
When are you free for lunch at the Cactus Cantina? This time it's on me. -DF

Thanks for the nice comments, Rooster, but my guys Brian and Papa did most of the work in these photos. I belive they used TT and either T plus 2 or #5 mustard. -DF

Can I go to work for you? Awsome piping job!!0 -
Dan,
Great lookin Peerless! I love how you brought over the second riser out of the boiler to make things tighter. I think I'm going to steel that idea from you. I also love the Dead Man logo touch.
