Visited with a 14-year-old \"veteran\" service tech

I spent time with a young man yesterday who has achieved quite a lofty status at age 14. He is NATE certified, doing installations, and now expanding into service work. His dad, who co-owns an HVAC company, said he would match his son's skills aagainst any other tech in the business. I've known dad and son for several years and have watched the young man grow up into quite a skilled tech. He has good people skills and many customers (including a recent geothermal install) insist on him for follow-up work. Of course, he needs a ride from mom or dad to the jobsite but once there, he does a great job.
It's a breath of fresh air considering so many young people would rather do anything than get dirty and learn a skilled trade nowadays. I'll let you know when the story runs in The NEWS.
