4:15 Wake-up

My wife and I always seem to recall the year that we awoke to the frantic screams of our oldest son crying out "He came, he came, he really came!" at about 4:00 am on Christmas morning. That was 20 years ago and we will cherish it forever! We too made them go back to sleep until about 7:00 am. Then there was the year that all three boys were up very early and when Lynn and I got downstairs, they already had all of the gifts in respective piles for each of us. Now that our youngest is 18 Christmas morning is a bit calmer! Still will miss those good old days though and are looking forward to our first grandchild who is due to arrive in August. Happy Holidays to All. Now it's time to go watch "A Christmas Story" for the third time!

    Santa left gifts

So my kids were unwrapping at 4:15 a.m., after they "casually" tried to wake me up. I did the Scrooge thing and sent them back to bed -- until they woke the wife at 5:45. Then I was doomed.

the kids should have waited until 7 am to let you sleep. unwrapping presents at 4 in the morning, i might as well not go to sleep from midnight mass.

    A nice break

    Merry Christmas

Thanks for the Wall and the wonderful opportunity it is giving me right now for a break from assembling the new toy Lego. It's been going on for a while now.

Looking forward to the turkey. How's yours coming up?

My son is impatietly waiting for the battery pack in his toy to charge the required 5 hours. Wish "Santa" knew about this last night.

    Hey Glenn,

Merry Christmas and I'd like to pass on a quick story from today.

It seems we were just like you described when younger too. Mom and Dad were telling the stories THIS AFTERNOON ! Seems we don't much like that early morning stuff nowadays.

But the kicker came when my younger brother pointed out to me that roles have reversed 180°. It was ME taking the pictures of my parents opening gifts. Rude awakening??You bet. Chris

Caught them in the act! By the way, how did you make out with that boiler with the CO issue? Its always nice to hear the after story.
