Sorry, it does have that feature, I forgot.. But not the duration and time :-) Arguably useless features. I guess the most attractive feature is the price. 80 bucks as opposed to 180 or whatever. And they really look to be coming from the same place.

Edit : It has the duration and time too! Whats the diff between Pro and the others other than the alarm levels.. anybody know?

    Protech CO monitor

I really am interested in getting some opinions on the worthiness of this product. It reads like it is comparable to the CO Experts or the NSI version, and it is significantly more affordable, but I'm no expert.

    Thanks for your consideration.

This unit meets UL standards meaning, it doesnt work right. Protech has a PRO model though that looks like an even better unit than the CO Experts.

FWIW, I fired up my whole house exhaust over the weekend and I forgot to turn the boiler off. OOPS.. Anyhow, the smoke detectors in the basement went off first, followed by the one in the stairwell which tripped my three main detectors. The Kidde CO alarm never went off... I dont know but you would think there was a CO issue.. sure was a messy oil smoke issue.

    Not the 8505

The 8505 does NOT meet UL. Says so at the bottom of the page. So is it any good?

    UL listed

if it is comparable to the CO Experts or the NSI version it should "not be" UL listed

    NO

I say no! though I can't remember exactly, i think my coexperts alarms 25ppm, right now! I've used it as a smoke alarm, by accident, it worked!

I can understand a few minute delay but not hours.

Yep, that commercial one looks good.. No experience with it though. It just looks good on paper. We need somebody to buy one and test it out for us. I like the digital readout with recall memory. The CO Experts one does not have those features.

No more peak level display. You mean George dropped that feature on the CO Experts Model 2004?

    Protech Alarm Levels-Yuk

    20ppm-8 hours
    45ppm-6 hours
190ppm is High level 25 sec alarm

    NSI- 15ppm - 5 minutes(less nuisance)
    70ppm - 30 seconds
Display 5ppm to 999ppm with peak level

I think parking garage alarms have quicker response than the Protech

#2. WARNING via both AUDIBLE & VISUAL at 25 PPM
#3. WARNING via both AUDIBLE & VISUAL at 35 PPM
#4. More Intense Audible & Visual Warning at 50 PPM
#5. Full Warning at 70 PPM
