Vacuum vent?

in THE MAIN WALL
The tech came back with a w/ a Air vent, it's a "Warco" #6 vacuum made by W.A Russel & CO. He replaced it w/ a Hoffman #75 steam vent, I'm worried That we may have created a problem. any thoughts
