What pump to use
I have installed a munchkin 140M with a SSU-60 was wondering what B&G pump to use for this circuit have a P&S system with a vision 1. Heat Transfer recommends a Taco 0011 but want B&G as other pumps on my system are B&G. Also if your out there Brad White how does one get in touch with you. I would love to pick your brain. Thanks Joe0 -
Yes i read the directions it doesn't list a B&G pump.Comparing the flow and head charts the PL36 seems to be the closest but looking for other opinions0 -
PL-36
I would prefer the TACO 0011 To the PL-36. That B&G is alot louder than the green pump!

Thoughts
pL 36 is over by a bit, how about the PL-30 whish is slightly under? Is this a primary/Secondary set-up? And is this only for the boiler loop?0 -
I Agree
The B&G pump we have here is so loud that I can hear it a floor below and about 50' away. I have installed 0012's that you couldn't hear in the same room. The wet rotor on tha Taco is quieter.0 -
After reading the directions a 140M is sujested to use a 0010 looks a bit closer to the PL-30 but actually a little smaller.0 -
Yes it is a primary secondary system but the pump im inquiring about is for the hot water loop so it must pump not only the hot water loop but through the boiler at the same time. The boiler pump is off when hot water loop is running as per vision 1 control. Factory said at this point more would be better as in a little more pump0 -
Thanks for responding Brad. Had a few questions for a person like you as you seem to know alot about boilers.I have a munchkin 140 and have some technical questions about my system.I was wondering if i could call you if possible as i can talk a lot faster than i can type. Some questions i would have would depend on the answer i received. As i never have had the oppurtunity to ask someone who is not biased. Hope fully i can call on a weekend. Thank you Joe P.S. my E-mail is noframeofmind@comcast.net0 -
yea in that case PL-36/00110 -
