honywell pressuretrol

He may have flushed something up the pigtail that is causing it to release pressure too slowly. the components of the control should be able to handle a little overfill now and then. Pull the pigtail and clean it and give it a whirl.

I recently installed a new Burnham steam boiler with a Honeywell pressuretrol operating control for a customer. Well the customer went to fill the boiler and overfilled it and luckley caught his mistake before causing any damage. I stopped by to check on the boiler to make sure it was ok and the one thing I noticed was after the boiler cycled off on pressure and the pressure dropped to 0 it took a while for the boiler to come back on, there was still a call for heat. Should the control be changed or serviced because of the over filling?
