No. Water hammer is associated with steam systems. If your piping and pumps are correctly sized and the system is vented of air (especially after being driven to high limit a few times to release dissolved air) the system should be quiet as a mouse.
You have to really work hard to create water hammer or undue noise in a hot water system especially with large radiators.
