Vacuum after burner shut-down

I recently noticed that the pressure gauge on my new WM SGO-4 drops to negative 1 lb shortly after the end of a steam cycle. This may have something to do with the hissing sound that the radiator vents make at the end of the cycle.
The two steam mains each have three Gorton #1 vents on them. Pipes are insulated. Vaportrol cuts off on 8-oz pressure. All radiators heat just fine, but the sounds are puzzling. Shouldn't the main vents open?
Anyone have any ideas on this one?

From what I have read...
That's how you get the condensate back to the boiler...if the air vents in the radiators did not let air back in, the condensate could get trapped by an air lock. Not sure about the vacuum, though some would be created because of the cooling of the 1600 times greater volume of the steam than water, and as it condenses, I would imagine at least a weak vacuum forms.0
