You should be able to get a QS20 fiting onto the stub. You can then continue on with PEX or what ever you like.

    hePEX burst near slab

    leaving only 2 or 3 inches exposed tubing. Need recommended repair procedure. The break is right under casement window/wall beam making usual 4 foot crimping tool usless. Tnx, Alfred

    Use a Rehau Everlock fitting

    If it's not too late, Rehau's Everlock fitting will work on Wirsbo tubing. After you expand the tubing, Use a ratchet style tool to pull the sleeve up onto the fitting. This tool fits into most spots. It's all available from Rehau, and some local reps will loan or rent it out.
