CO death in SLC yesterday

Anyone catch the news? Prominant attorney died of CO poisoning here in SLC after complaining for 3-4 days about feeling dizzy, light headed and sick. Friends confirmed his gut feeling that it was the flu, and yesterday morning he did not show up for work. Neighbor found him dead in bed, and when the fire dep measured the CO levels in the home, ordered it evacuated. Never gave the levels. It turns out to be a cracked boiler manifold, as it was told on the news. 'Tis the season to die from CO without a regular inspection, or even a little plug in detector....

Good time for a reminder. A CO detector is so cheap and regular maintenance is crucial. A terrible tragedy easily averted.0
