electric boilers
I have a customer with steam heat who wants radiant heat in their kitchen. There's no coil in the boiler to use as a heat exchanger and they aren't interested in electric radiant in the floor for some reason. Rather than trying to tie an external heat exchanger into the boiler I thought maybe I could use a small electric boiler instead. Any suggestions on this type of install? And a suitably small boiler? The heating load will be maybe 6-8000 btu.I clicked on the Argo link above and the smallest one they have is 20,000. Slant Fin is even larger. Does it even matter if the boiler is that big?
Thanks

if you are going ....
to go electric why not use an electric water heater...it does not enen have to be all that large water content...HR has posted many times picts. of his set ups...
Why so opposed to the HX? TFI-Everhot makes some great ones...even ones that don't need circs. kpc

heat exchanger
I'm not really opposed at all. Just thinking of other options. Heating all the water in the boiler and the heat exchanger just to heat up one room seems wasteful.0 -
Check out .....
the mini boiler at www.electromn.com it comes in a 9kw size and maybe talk them into doing one or more of the bathroom floors. Best regards.0 -

Try
Thermolec electric boilers. Come with a basic outdoor reset, so your not always running full tilt boogie! 5KW is their smallest.
