Glenn Stanton is reason numbers 1,2 and 3 of the thirty or so that I use Burnham overwhelmingly more than any other manufacturer.

I called Weil-McLain for product information a few days ago and was put off so much so that I'm willing to mention them here by name.

When a contractor needs help, nothing other than "help" will do.

Glenn Stanton and Burnham help me to do my job well.

    Thank you Glenn S.

    Glenn,

Thank you for taking time out of your busy evening to suggest solutions to the unexpected shut-down of my Revolution. As I stated in my original post I did not want to indict the boiler without considering the variety of possible problems with the control mechanisms external to the boiler. Your good advice has given me some solid leads to follow.

The next time the boiler shuts down I will check those boiler control components that you mentioned, especially the LWCO. A friend of mine has seen two similar shut-down problems this year due to a faulty LWCO/electrical connection.

Thanks again to you and the other posters for the help.

While driving back from the Hudson Valley area to RI this afternoon in the snow, another thing came to mind that I have seen from time to time. You mentioned that you have a Tekmar control. I have seen Tekmar controls lock out occasionally which will indeed keep the boiler off. By resetting the power off and on, I have seen them recycle on again and operate flawlessly until next time. next time this happens, take a look at the Tekmar control to see if any of the LED's are flashing. These flashing lights usually indicate an error code which are very well described in the Data manual that came with the control. Just another thought.

Thanks for the kudos. I really do enjoy trying to help people through the everyday dilemmas that always seem to pop up at the worst times in this business. Just about every single call or e-mail I get becomes a learning experience for us all and sometimes even a story for my next seminar. Thanks again for your kind words and especially for your wonderful support! Enjoy your holidays and say hello to all of the guys!
