in THE MAIN WALL
I am smelling something like a wax candle just blown out coming out of my vents. My gas heater furnace has been running all day but the smell just started. Is is safe to sleep in my house tonight?

    Is the smell comming from all the air vents? Or did junior drop his birthday candles in one of the registers? Sounds silly but you can find all kinds of wierd things in there.

    Your home should already have a few CO detectors in stalled. Every home in America should. Head down to Lowes, buy a couple detectors. (A lot of people seem to like the "Kiddie" brand.) An ideal situation is to have one in every bedroom, then in the common areas of your house.

    See what they say then make the call.

    It is also wise to have your heating system serviced by a professional on an annual basis. Ask and make sure your service company tests for CO on every visit.
