Are the radiator sections connected at the top as well as the bottom? If there is only a bottom manifold, it would be difficult to use.

I have a radiator that I would like to use in a hot water application.
The radiator was previously used in a 1 pipe steam system.
Can I use it in a hot water application?
One of my concerns is the vent is a little more than half way up.
Should this vent be nearer to the top of the rad.?0 -
The radiator is connected at the top, but it is difficult to determine if they are open. I may have to attempt the trial and error method.0 -
Post pictures of the radiators, with the top connection.0
