Radiator Conversion

Are the radiator sections connected at the top as well as the bottom? If there is only a bottom manifold, it would be difficult to use.

    I have a radiator that I would like to use in a hot water application.
    The radiator was previously used in a 1 pipe steam system.
    Can I use it in a hot water application?
    One of my concerns is the vent is a little more than half way up.
    Should this vent be nearer to the top of the rad.?

    The radiator is connected at the top, but it is difficult to determine if they are open. I may have to attempt the trial and error method.

    Post pictures of the radiators, with the top connection.
