Hartford loop question

Are you sure you have a hartford loop? Are you sure you don't have a hot water system and the tank your refering to isn't an expansion tank?

    I have a question regarding my hartford loop? Does the pipe that connects to the boiler tank from the hartford loop have to be level. Mine is slanted downward towards the hartford loop. Can that be the reason why im not getting much of my condesation back into my boiler?
