burnham steam IN12
any one ever put in a IN12 steam boiler. can the block be jockeyed around in one piece ? Does the block come dis-assembled? am i better off going to the 5 series?0 -
Bob
That is a question that I get asked quite often. The section assembly of the IN-12 can be carefully stood on its end and strapped to an appliance dolly for easier egress into the building. It will, however, be quite heavy and care should be taken when doing this. With the Series 5 boiler, you will have to field assemble the sections on site but there will only be six of them. These sections are quite a bit bigger than the IN sections though. The choice is yours. Either way the boiler will come in a knocked down configuration, but the IN series will have the sections assembled and you will have to set it on the base assembly once it is in the basement. Hope this helps.

IN12
We've installed about a dozen IN12s this year and a couple of strong guys can definitely manuever the heat exchanger. Don't hesitate to buy it if that's your only concern.
