I recently installed a new B&G pump in the return of my boiler. Boiler burner stays on constant and return gets hot but supply does not. I know its intalled the correct way. Initally the arrow was down, but water wasn't circulating, so I removed and reinstalled with arrow up. Now I'm getting hot water through return but supply just doesn't seem to get as hot.

How -R-U
Purging the system? What is the systems pressure, and the height of the highest Rad/emitter Need more details to advise U.0 -
flow not
sounds like the circulator is backwards & the flow control valve is broken or stuck. you might actually need the assistance of a plumber to get you up & running.if you don't know the correct direction of correct flow , you might not quite understand how your system operates.0 -
sounds like Bob nailed it
arrow should be pointing towards boiler which if it is on the return, should be down. Sounds like you had it right the first time and then had some purging issues. Do you have rads or baseboard. I like to crank up the pressure to about 25psi when I am bleeding with the system off. then run system and finish bleeding. should be about 12psi cold 20psi hot0
