Check the copyright on any radiators you want to copy. You'd be surprised that some manufacturers still hold copyrights on old stuff like that. I'd start with the manufacturer, then the copyright office in the library of congress in Wash. DC. Hope this helps.

Mfg new american std rococco rads, what ya think.

A buddy of mine is starting to do business with a cast iron casting co. I have been thinking for years of copying the old cast iron rococco rads and making new versions. do you all think there is a market for this. Dead match to american standards version.

I'm gonna have three large rads (100 sq. footers) available. Not sure this will come through.

I think we have those models. Thats what Steamhead told me. Not the clearest picture, though. I might be interested in buying some smaller rads or trading for some of my oversized ones. Got lots of those.

    I don't have the names...

But I did see lots of ornate cast iron radiators that are coming out of Italy. Burnham still makes a few large tube type with some scrollwork too, I believe.

Why not give it a shot? I'm sure someone will buy new over a selection of used ones, and the trend seems to be retaining the historic systems in old homes now. At least radiator wise. Chris

    well, i'd be interested

i'm ordering 6 radiators from burnham this week, but the current ''selection'' is rather weak these days..more selection would help..like old fashioned window radiators.

I'd honestly consider buying a couple new rads made in the US Capitol design. The "tubes" are actually made of two bell curves. They seem especially effective when it comes to delivering radiant energy. The design seems truly unique among thin fin tube radiators.

  • There are already a few ornate CI radiator founders around here. Some are made in Turkey, others in Great Britain, and others... in China!
