Where to buy cast iron pipe insulation...

All of the pipe insulation I find at lowes or home depot is for small copper pipes. I just had a new steam boiler put in and want to re-insulate the pipes but can't seem to find anyone who sells this product.
I have 2.5 inch pipes that feed my radiators and want to insulate them inthe basement... anypne know where I can turn?
Thanks much.

MAKE SURE you get fiberglass insualtion or you'll hard crispy pieces of black rubber insulation breaking off and falling on the floor. Or Worse.

Steam pipe covering?
Hi,
I have a one pipe steam system and the pipes in the basement are covered by the original covering. The insulation seems to be in very good condition, however the prior owner painted the covering and th paint is peeling badly. Is there any type of wrap that I can use to cover it, rather than risk disturbing the old insulation.
Thanks,
Rich Harrington

easiest way is to coat the pipe
with a mastic,, apply chessecloth, more mastic..done..something like this stuff http://www.vimasco.com/wc-7.html i've used that, also childers brand..
