I'm considering a 2 pipe system with baseboards. i now have 1 1/4 pipe coming out of the top of the boiler.
1 - Does the supply pipe run THROUGH each baseboard to baseboard all around the house until it reaches the return on the boiler?
2 - What size pipe do I run to each 3/4" baseboard? 3/4?
3 - When I install a THV on each baseboard, do I tee-off a 1/2" bypass line above the b/b element?
4 - Can anyone direct me to a baseboard temp regulator/ thermostat website?0 -
B&G websight is nice
Q,1) you can pipe in series for a total of 67 ft. 3/4' base then pick up your return. It will provide you with 40,000 btu effective base. 2.) 3/4" for one loop or zone is fine if you need all that 40,000 btu. Also the boiler and the pump itself is very critical to properly design this system. Also don't forget that on that first loop of 3/4" you will see a slight temp drop as the end of the loop is reached. Sorry I didn'y understand Q # 3...0 -
