....or more accurately, an indirect water heater piped as a separate zone to your boiler, will perform much much better, and more efficiently, than a water heater.

It will cost significantly more to install, but it is well worth the investment.

You should contact the heating professional of your choice to look at your system, and advise you of the feasibility of performing an installation like this. Proper sizing, piping, circulator selection, and control scheme are critical to assure proper performance of your new awesome water heater!

boiler mate set-up or hot water heater

I have an oil burner with coils that make my hot water. Now with 3 kids it seems I need more hot water. Can't do laundry, dishwater and a shower or 2 without running out of heat. Do I add a holding tank [boilermate]? or do I hook up a gas fired hot water heater? it seems the hot water heaters only last so long and they too can run out - also if I hook up water heater what happens to the water my boiler has made? help!
