This Knight takes a high PHP stand

In general, does the cost justify the labor savings? I am not familiar with this product, but it appears to be a unique concept.

Precision Hydronic Products sent
this new Lochinvar Knight stand for review. Ships in a LARGE box on a pallet.
Assembly took about 10 minutes! Nice quality and workmanship. Grundfos circs, Taco fill and zone valves. Circ zone packages are also available. Even the expansion tank gets a nice perch. This has DHW indirect ports on the bottom also. They also have these systems for other brands of boilers. www.phpinc.com

It takes the boiler room in a box concept
a couple steps further. By supplying the stand, expansion tank mount and some spare strut space to chose and add your own control package.
I guess a couple days labor to site build that on a wall. depending on your labor rate...
As a one man shop I could run service calls for those two days and easily offset the cost. Plus it is mechanically correct. Certainly a big plus for newbies.
Just another option for installers. I think our friend Tom Simensen from Montana had a hand in it's design. Certainly has a contractors touch to it.

PHP vs Hydrolink
I am a newbie and wonder how you would compare the labor/material savings of the PHP to the labor/material savings of the Caleffi hydrolink?0 -
Labor wise
The PHP stand needs only to be assembled and connected to the zone piping.
I use the HydroLinks also on some jobs. They basically offer you a primary/ secondary in a steel box. The boiler piping would still need to be built at the site.
I'm curious to see who will offer a prebuilt panel, or stand with the Caleffi components.
Watts Radiant sure is in an ideal position to poffer that package in their Hydronix line

panels
I think a panel with Caleffi components would be great. So who's game? ;-)0
