Yes a 2" pipe tap is 2" 11 1/2 teeth to the inch, thus the 2-11 1/2 It will do the job. That is standard NPT (national pipe thread)

I have an american radiator co. wall hung radiator with a 2" supply that needs a re-tapping because of marred threads. I have never tapped before so I am thinking of buying a used 2" tap for the job. What tap characteristics should I look for? I found a Vermont American in great shape that is a 2-11 1/2 npt. Will that do the trick? The threads on the rad move CW (righty-tighty). Thanks.0
