leaking boiler
I have a burnham series 4 steam boiler that was installed in 1991 in the house that I have owned for two years. I have been losing about about a quarter of an inch of water a day from the site glass and today I flooded the boiler and I have a leak that seems to be coming from the side of the boiler where all the controls are on. This year I have needed to replace the pigtail for the presuretrol and the lwco probe that was leaking. The boiler still heats the whole house quickly and it still builds pressure enough that the pressuretrol shuts down the boiler. In your expert opinion is it worth the money to have someone look at the boiler or is it just a hole or crack that cant be fixed and I should just plan on replacing the boiler.0 -
I'd have a pro look at it.
