I was in MA during that storm

I remember putting all of the boats into the boathouse. The COAST GUARD boats.

All but one, which stayed underway for most of those three days, 44315, the Bus.

One of the saddest boat jobs I can remember happened that week, right near Scott's house, in Salem harbor.

I think....

I've told you once before Noel, The "Pilot boat" that went out to save the crew of the grounded tanker(Global Hope...I think) was the Can Do.

It was found in 14' of water off the coast of Marblehead with all aboard(unfortunately not alive) and is now moored in the Bass River...between the Rialside and the Beverly/Salem bridges...floating.

Time seems to heal wounds on that one...but "mistakes were made" and some folks weren't quite as "ready" as they thought they were....

44315, the boat with the buckled bulkhead. I walked every wall of that puppy myself,(foot on the ceiling a couple times!) but never turned it over! Came close a few times...but what's a little swelling in the well?

Self righting, self bailing..and with engines stingy enough to go a full day on a tank of fuel...non-stop. Semper Peratis bunkie! Chris
