What about finding the bad ones?

How much is involved in properly identifing the bad ones VS just rebuilding all of them?

forget about rad trap replacement just use rad orafices

How many radiators are you dealing with?
It might be worth my while to come out if it is a lot of them.
Are you running on 1 pound steam pressure?
Do you have vaporstats on your boiler?
Have you installed lots of quick vents on the piping.

    Steam Traps

    Dave:

Call Johnson Controls they will do a steam trap survey with an ultra sonic and tell you which traps are blowing steam by and which one are not opening. Then you can order inturnal replacemnet parts and rebuild them and save some money that way.

Any idea of a phone number?

Not trying to be lazy, but I know some big companies are tough to track the right dept. or phone number. I'm assuming they charge for this service?

    Trap Survey

    Dave, Bill:

Our service number is 866-738-3828 if your wondering what the cost is call and have some one call you back to give you a price. It will depend on the locations of the traps and the time it takes to get to them. They will be happy to give you a quote.
