Black Mold

a small dose of bleach in a spray bottle would kill any lingering life, should any actually exist.
Black mold is not uncommon. Unless you have a ton of money for serious biological research, spray on bleach, use a lacquer based "killer" primer and repaint as required.
Done.
If you haven't died already, the liklihood is you're over the growth cycle and should be fine.

What happens
to the black mold that is in sheetrock ,insulation, and wood framing AFTER the roof leak has been repaired? Does it have a half life? Should some type of mask/respirator be required when demoing? This black mold has been dried out for over a year.0 -
mold
I have heard that chlorine should not be used to kill mold on porous surfaces.

mold
My old man always had me mix TSP with bleach and water. Then scrub the mold and mildew off the trim on his house before i would painted it. Of course I would hose off the trim right after.
It removed both well.0
