How many BTUs heat per foot of pipe

A club I belong to has been doing some renovations in their basement. They are building a finished room that will be roughly 9' x 14', with a 3-inch steam main running the full length of the ceiling. There is no other source of heat in this room, so the board wants to keep the insulation off this section (asbestos was recently removed). What is the BTU output of this pipe on a per foot basis. I know this isn't the right way to do things.

It pays to wonder off "The Wall".
Here's a chart from Hot Tech Topics
Do be aware that removing insulation from steam mains can affect the performance of connected rads--both those connected to that main and those connected to other mains...0 -
About 220 BTUH
per Linear Foot for 3" pipe. Figure the outside area of the pipe and multiply by 240 if in a 70 degree ambient, assuming steam at 215 degrees of course."If you do not know the answer, say, "I do not know the answer", and you will be correct!"
