elite 256 radiator valve replacement

Hello,

I am a homeowner in Queens, New York. The house is 60 years old and heated by a furnace utilizing steam heat.
The living room radiator is encased in a steel box embedded in the wall. The valve is shot (Elite 256). I think it is original and 60 years old! My problem is that there is no space between the valve and radiator (you can not even put a finger between the valve and radiator). The steel box surrounding the radiator prevents you from putting a wrench on the existing valve. It is a straight valve which looks like a bullet or rocket ship. The round Gorton is too fat. Can you recommend a quality replacement valve that will fit this application. Thanks, Adam

I believe hoffman makes a similiar air valve. last resort would be a hoffman 500. vari-valve or dole two other choices.
